West Heath Surgery is celebrating again today, as it was announced that we made the top ten best rated GP surgeries in the whole of Birmingham. This independent and highly-regarded league table was compiled following the latest results of the GP Patient Survey. Involving over one million people each year, the GP Patient Survey is an ongoing study of patients and their experiences. It’s run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England.

Nirmal Vora, Managing Partner at West Heath Surgery, said:

“I’m incredibly proud to see West Heath Surgery make the top 10 list, finishing in a very respectable eighth position. Patient satisfaction and care is our number one priority, and we always strive to give patients the best possible experience.

“We serve over 8300 patients,” Nirmal continued, “which makes us the largest practice in the league table. Our team works hard to ensure that every one of these patients gets the local surgery service they value so highly. We’re always looking to expand our offering to patients, the latest example being the imminent launch of our video consulting services.”

The wide-ranging GP Patient Study covers seven key areas:

  • ease of getting an appointment
  • convenience of opening times
  • whether patients trust their GPs
  • whether GPs listen to their patients
  • whether patients are treated with care and concern by their GPs
  • helpfulness of receptionists
  • overall patient experience
