Please be aware that the UK Government has issued a direction to NHS Digital- the IT provider for the NHS, to collect data for research and development purposes from GP Practices. When NHS Digital does this, a ‘Data Provision Notice’ is issued under the Health and Social Care Act 2012, Section 259.
As GP Practices, we are legally obliged to comply with the latest data provision notice for Research and Planning: General Practice Data for Planning and Research – NHS Digital
